Η λίστα με τις υποψηφιότητες για τα BAFTA 2023 ανακοινώθηκε, με την ταινία “All Quiet on the Western Front” να ξεχωρίζει, συγκεντρώνοντας 14 υποψηφιότητες! Τα Βραβεία Βρετανικής Ακαδημίας Κινηματογράφου, γνωστά και ως Βραβεία BAFTA, προχώρησαν στην ανακοίνωση των φετινών υποψηφιοτήτων. Συνολικά 45 ταινίες βρίσκονται υποψήφιες σε μια, ή και παραπάνω κατηγορίες. Ξεχωρίζει η ταινία του Έντουαρντ Μπέργκερ “All Quiet on the Western Front” (Ουδέν νεώτερον από το δυτικό μέτωπο), που βασίζεται στο ομώνυμο βιβλίο του Έριχ Μαρία Ρεμάρκ και βρίσκεται υποψήφιο σε δεκατέσσερις κατηγορίες! Δέκα υποψηφιότητες συγκεντρώνουν οι ταινίες “The Banshees of Inisherin” και “Everything Everywhere All At Once”. Ανάμεσα στις υποψήφιες για BAFTA ταινίες βλέπουμε, την υπερπαραγωγή του Τζέιμς Κάμερον, “Avatar: The Way of Water”, το πολυαναμενόμενο σίκουελ του Black Panther, “Wakanda Forever” καθώς και την ταινία κινουμένων σχεδίων με τον αγαπημένο Πινόκιο, από τον Γκιγιέρμο Ντελ Τόρο. Η «Απόφαση Φυγής», του Κορεάτη κινηματογραφιστή, Παρκ Τσαν-γουκ βρίσκεται και αυτή στη λίστα, όπως και η ταινία του Στίβεν Σπίλμπεργκ “The Fabelmans”.
